The virus-like particles (VLPs) of SARS-CoV-2 were expressed in Sf21 cells, assembled with the spike (S, Flag-tagged), envelope (E) and membrane (M) proteins of SARS-CoV-2. The VLPs were purified by a combination of gradient centrifugation and chromatographic methods. Average size of VLPs is about 60 nm. The VLPs may be used for antibody generation and neutralization, SARS-CoV-2 antibody detection and vaccine development.
